“You’ll still be able to get married even if you go insane,” my sister consoled me. “Other people will kick in and do the work.”

This is an actual conversation yesterday, which gives you a brief glimpse into my brushes with insanity.

But, while I’ve been shaky, everyone else seems quite stable. Packages appear in the mail, people show up to help, and hot drinks appear at my doorstep, and my sister arrives with breakfast casserole.

What a blessing!

Yep, it’s time for any problems to not be yours anymore. πŸ™‚ Blessings to you – I hope your wedding goes slowly enough for you to enjoy it to the fullest, and the honeymoon be a time of fun and relaxation after all the stress and work!

Once again, there are plenty of women in white it you decide to back out and Marnell doesn’t! πŸ˜€

Oh Katrina, I hope you truly enjoy all the memories this is making for you. Just in brief: I arrived home from Haiti 2 weeks before my wedding with my groom doing all the planning; wore a borrowed dress from another missionary; had an outdoor wedding; and woke up 3 weeks later in shock thinking: “I’m really married and this is forever!” Great memories to laugh about later. My husband I met through letters him here/me there so he always called me his “mail order bride”.
We spent the next 25 years getting acquainted!
Continue to live loved. I am so happy for you.

Yay for friends! Can’t wait! It all looks so beautiful! I bet the hardest part of the actual day will be keeping those bridesmaids in check!

I don’t know if you remember me and my family from Kristi’s wedding; I am Marnell’s cousin through his dad. There was a lot going on, and you might not remember us. But I just wanted to say that I have been encouraged by your testimony in your posts, and I pray that you and Marnell will have an absolutely wonderful weekend, and life together. I say weekend, because today and tomorrow should be filled with joy for you, but often, the bride feels too stressed to enjoy them. May God’s richest blessings cover you both!

I’ve never commented on your blog before, but I’ve really enjoyed reading your interesting posts and hearing about your courtship!
Congratulations! Best Wishes! A wedding is for only one day, and a marriage for a lifetime. For my husband and I, we have good memories of our wedding, but we have better memories (without all that stress) in the year and years following our wedding day!
    May God bless you richly!!

      Thank you Shari!

For me, I was stressed and somewhat insane up until the big day. Woke up that morning feeling calm and serene and thoroughly enjoyed my wedding day! I hope you will also be a serene bride. πŸ˜„ I am happy for that cute lil smart school girl from way back when!

Thanks Jenn! I hope to be that calm bride!
